A Card Layout Three Different Ways Using Spotlight On Nature

Psst. I have a secert to tell you… card Layouts are stamper’s secert weapon. Card layouts let you get crafting in no time and you can use whatever you have in your craft room or stash. You can pick out what images you want, designer series paper, and sentiments to create a stunning card in minutes.

I am using the stamp set Spotlight on Nature bundle, and a single card layout to create these three beautiful cards that take minutes to put together.

The card layout that I am using for the three cards and the measurements are in the image below.

Any card layout  is a simple suggestion on how to put together a card and there are many ways you can change it up and still follow the layout. For example, you can switch out the strips for circle dies or flip the card from landscape to portriate. You also don’t have to keep everything straight, you can tilt the cardstock stripes to create a whimisical look.

Frist Card Idea

Card Idea One our of three.

I stamped the leaf stamp from Spotlight in Nature in the corrdianting ink to create an easy tone on tone stamped image. Next, I also took the blending brushes and swriled the corrdinating ink across a Basic White cardstock strip to create an ombre texture before stamping the cross hatched image on one side. I also used the “Let’s Celebrate” sentiment from Simply Said.

Second Card Idea

I steped up this card by using an embossing folder to add texture to the background layer. I also switched up the rectangle shapes by using three circle dies that came from the Spotlight in Nature Suite. Another way that I stepped up this card, was by coloring the stamped images using watercolor pencils.

Third Card Idea

I love how you can create a whimiscal look by tilting the strips of paper. To create an easy and quick watercolor image, I stamped the images in Basic Beige. Then utalized a water painter to pick up a small amount of ink to color in my image.

You can create so many cards with just one layout. Take a look at your stash or items on your wishlist and see how this layout can be used.
