Coloring with the Blends

Hello Everyone,

With the weather cooling down it is the perfect time of year to just stay in and color. There is just so much to do this time of year with all of the holidays coming up. One of the things on my list is creating holiday cards to send out. I love to make my Christmas Cards and this year I am so excited to use the blends in my projects! I am so grateful that Stampin’ Up! has so many colors that coordinate with all of their items (including their papers, ink pads, and ribbon).

Here are all of the blends from the Annual catalog! Note that there are NEW colors in the Holiday Catalog.

These are the perfect coloring tools because they are alcohol markers which means they are perfect for blending and building color. The pay off of these markers are beautiful, rich, and smooth coloring.

These are perfect for coloring images and making backgrounds.

I featured this card on a previous blog post a few weeks ago. Notice how the coloring adds dimension to the stamped image? By coloring using the dark and light shade, the colorer can create an image with incrediable life

The blends are a duel tipped alcohol-based ink marker. These markers are sold in a combo pack which means that you can have a light shade of the color and the darker shade of the color.

The package of the blends helps to make it easier to color with. Notice that the dual tips are embossed with a thick and thin line. As well as an image of the brush type. This way you do not have to guess at which one you are opening up.

The lids have a press-fit seal which means that no air can get into the maker to dry up the ink.

There are many fun things that you can do with these blends including coloring a stamped image or making your own background.

We did a mystery card for our Facebook Live and came up with this cute and festive card perfect for Halloween. We used the Blends to create a custom Designer Series Paper. To learn how to make this card watch the video below.
