Don’t Forget to Decorate Your Envelope

It’s the time of year where everyone is sending holiday cards and making all sorts of goodies to give to others. However, we can’t forget to decorate the outside of our envelopes! The envelopes carry all of our hardwork to our friends and family and most of the time we leave them blank save for the address. It is time to change that. I have several fun ideas using the Ornamental Envelopes Bundle set from Stampin’ Up!.

The dies allow you to decorate the inside of your envelopes year round. Plus you can also use the big leaf like die to add additional depth to your cards no matter the season.

Stampin’ Up! has Very Vanilla envelopes or Whisper White envelopes so you can easily choose which color envelope to match your cardstock or designer series paper. You can use this set with any designer series paper not just holiday designer series paper! Making it the perfect set to have on hand for when you want jazz up an envelope all year long!
Card two

Use any color ink or designer series paper for all year crafting.

You can also use this stamp set for decorating cards. I used the lovely ornaments on an easy and elegant Christmas card and it came out wonderful!
Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper Card

This set isn’t just for envelopes! The ornaments can be the star on a holiday card. I made this card on a previous Facebook Live and I just love how it came out. The gold  embossing looks so well with Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper!

Today’s Projecting: Decorating an Envelope

Decorating envelopes is very fun. There are so many ways you can decorate them. You can stamp on them, you can add die cuts, you can even do paper piecing techniques.

Card One

Here are two envelope ideas that I had for some cards that I am sending out to some friends of mine.
Card Image 3

I used matching Designer Series Paper and glued the paper to the envelope before cutting the excess off.

Card Four

In the bundle there is a die set that you can use to get this peak-a-boo effect. I ran the die through the Cut and Emboss Machine before I stuck a piece of Early Esspresso cardstock inside the envelope and glued the layers together.

Here is the Facebook video of me decorating some envelopes.
