This week’s featured item is Brusho! Or more specifically Brusho Crystal Colour.
Brusho Crystal Colour 144101 $30.00 plus tax and shipping
Brusho is watercolor ink crystals that mix with water to make watercolor washes and designs. You will receive 5 pots with your purchase of Brusho; Gamboge (orange), Moss Green, Prussian Blue, and Yellow. The pots each contain 0.5 oz each but don’t worry a LITTLE goes a LONG way.
Here is an example of sprinkling on the Prussian Blue Bruso and spritzing the paper with the Stampin’ Up! Spritzer
Tips and Tricks
Make sure to cover your Stamping surface with scrap paper or grid sheets and have a roll of paper towels on hand as crafting with this product can be messy.
Do not open the lid of the product; prick with a push pin once, this will give you a manageable amount of product when you sprinkle. When you are not using Brusho leave the Push Pin in the hole you created so it does not spill.
Use Stampin’ Up! Shimmery White Cardstock or Watercolor paper for best results
With an Aqua Painter, wet your paper before sprinkling the Brusho on.
Sprinkle the Brusho onto your paper before spritzing with water.
You can paint with Brusho by sprinkling individual pigment powder into a painter’s pallet and adding water to activate the crystals before painting with a paint brush.
After your project is dry, use a clean paper towel to wipe off unactivated color crystals.

Tips for Easy Card Making
Feeling uninspired but have to make a card? There are tons of sketches online that you can peruse to get inspiration. Here are a few examples of what sketches are;
These sketches are ideas that you can use to create cards. The layers are predetermined and you can fill them in with Designer Series Paper or different colored cardstock. Where the butterfly is you can add a bow, thinlit die cut, or embellishment.
Sketches are great examples of quick and easy card layouts. You can use them to help you feel inspired.
If you are making a lot of cards; cut out your pieces in advance so you can form an assembly line.
Not sure about colors? Before you cut your cardstock gather all of the colors you want to use. Lay them side by side to make sure they are cohesive with your design.
Tranquil Tide and Petal Pink along with Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper
Use ribbon as a one of the layers as detailed on the sketches above.
For this week’s project I wanted to show how to make an easy card following a sketch challenge. One of my team members found this sketch. As a monthly challenge my team makes cards based on the sketch. I was also part of a swap between demonstrators and used it for my inspiration.

My product of the week is Stampin’ Up’s Wink of Stella. This clear glitter brush is so versatile when it comes to any type of crafting.
Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. To purchase you can visit my store by clicking the image, the price is $8.00 plus tax and shipping.
There are so many fun things that you can do with this product that I have assembled several tips and tricks for you.
Have watercolor pencils and want to add a little bit of shimmer and glimmer to it? My first tip would be to color with you watercolor pencil over the stamped image and blend it with your Wink of Stella.
Another tip is that you can also add color and shimmer to you crafting product by taking a Stampin’ Up ink pad and squeezing it until some of the ink is on the lid. You can then pick up that color with the the Wink of Stella. Be careful to make sure you have cleaned the ink off of the Wink of Stella tip so you do not transfer the color where you do not want it to be.
Lastly you can color over an already stamped and colored image to add a hint of shimmer.
To achieve this look I stamped the flower in Blackberry Bliss before using a Blender Pen to add shading as well as to color it in. To add the Wink of Stella I simply colored over the image once it was dry with the glitter brush.
A trick when working with this wonderful product is even though it might be running out on you there are ways to prolong your use of the product.
By taking off the brush applicator and then removing the barrel on the Wink of Stella you can add rubbing alcohol to it, but only fill it up to the “h” in push that is embossed onto the side of the pen, to make sure you do not over fill it.
You can also add a couple of drops of reinker to your Wink of Stella pen and you have a colored glitter pen that you can use on other products.
Creating Crafts with Wink of Stella
This week’s card uses the NOW available Blended Seasons stamp set. The Wink of Stella is perfectly suited to help showcase how the watercolor pencils blend.

I love how in this one bundle you have the options to create holiday, fall, thank you, congratulations, and so many more cards with the stamps and framelits that are provided.

This bundle is perfect to use for year round stamping! The bundle includes 12 stamps and 10 coordinating dies! The NEW watercolor pencils are purchased separately. I love how this set is just perfect for all of your stamping needs from Thank You sentiments to Merry Christmas. This set has you covered. My favorite dies included with this new limited addition bundle is the layering shapes! A feature that is unique to these shapes is that both sides of the paper are embossed with stitching detail!
The layering shapes are just so pretty that I decided to feature all three shapes on my Facebook Live card!
I just love how cute the layering shapes look as three separate pieces as they come together to form one cohesive image! The featured product this week on my blog is blender pens and this set is amazing to have along with blender pens. The stamped images can be easily colored with the watercolor pencils both new and old, however to blend those watercolor pencils you would need a blending tool and that would be the blender pens. The blender pens just add such a fine and professional touch to any coloring that you are doing. If you are interested in learning more about blender pens you can check out my blog post about them here. To purchase this limited edition bundle you can visit my store on August 1st.

Purchase three duel tipped pens for $12.00 at my store plus shipping and tax.
Three nontoxic duel tipped pens come in a package
With blender pens you can easily color in stamped images! Tricks for coloring with blender pens are to use Memento ink to stamp your image so you can blend your water color pencils together without picking up the excess ink. Another trick is to emboss your image that way you can add a bit of shimmer and shine to a card.
Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Purchase any color for $5.00; Black, Clear, Copper, Gold, Silver, or White
Using your Blender Pen to Watercolor
Stampin’ Up sells amazing water color pencils! These pencils are amazing because they provide smooth color when coloring images.
Purchase these for $16.00 at my store
When using your blender pen to color an image, it is important to pay attention to how much color you have laid down onto your image before blending with the blender pens. For a softer look I scribble some color down onto my image lightly, this will then become even lighter after I go over it with the blender pen. For a brighter look I lay down more color so that when I go over it with a blender pen the image is still bright just more cohesive.
Using the blender pens help to take a stamped image to new heights.
Tips and Tricks
A tip when using the blender pens; keep a scratch piece of paper close by so that you can wipe off the tip of your blender pen after each segment so that the color does not transfer to your image. The pen tips do stain after several uses.
Another tip is when coloring with these pens be sure to use a light touch on whatever medium you choose to work with, this will help you avoid peeling which happens to paper. Tricks when working with these pens include using the Shimmery White card stock or the watercolor paper for best results. You can even use the pens on all of their other papers.
There are many different techniques that you can use when working with the blender pens.
You can stamp an image with a colored ink and before it dries use the blender pen to lightly bring the ink towards the center of the image. This makes the stamped image appear to have shadowing and shading.
You can also use the blender pen to pick up ink that has been put onto clear blocks, this allows for you to pick up the color and add it directly to your image.
Stamp from the Stamp set Sunshine Sayings.

Today I thought I would talk about the Sponge Brayer. There are so many tips and tricks that I want to share with you on this fun little tool. So let’s get started.
You can purchase this tool for $8 at my store plus tax and shipping. In purchasing this tool you will receive two handles and four sponges. Click on the image to visit my store.
This versatile tool from Stampin’ Up! allows you to create colorful backgrounds as well beautiful landscapes. This is the perfect tool for every occasion because you can create custom decorated paper!
This tool is easily washable as you can rinse out the sponges in the sink, after letting them dry you can continue to use them with a new color.
Tips and Tricks when using Your Sponge Brayer
This card showcases the technique known as Versamark Resist! For this technique you stamp your images using Versamark onto Glossy White Card stock. Rolling your sponge brayer in one direction on the ink pad, then roll your brayer across your glossy cardstock until it is completely covered. A tip when creating a card using this technique is that you apply even pressure when sponging your card so that one piece of your card is not darker than you intended. A trick I learned in doing this card is that you want to start off by applying a little bit of color because you can always add color but you can not take it away.
This fun fall card showcases another fun technique using the sponge brayer. When crafting this card I sponged the Glossy White Card stock first before stamping my image. Tips for this card include inking up your background stamp first and then place your piece of colored cardstock on top of the stamp so that you can line up the image to where you want it to be.
Tips to achieve this look include using the sponge brayer in two different ink pad colors to create an ombre look. For this card I used Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana to create the look. Another tip for this technique is after you have sponged the cardstock quickly wipe the embossing buddy over it so that when you emboss the little pieces of embossing only stick to the versamark.
You can even use the sponge brayer to create multiple landscapes. My favorite trick is using the Layering Circle Framelits to create a ripple effect on the water. By cutting out circles on post it notes you can use the different sized circles to create the smaller and larger ripples.

Today was a very hot day in Arizona, we stayed inside and enjoyed the ac. We are looking forward for the monsoons to begin because that will hopefully cool things down a bit. The kids were very busy trying to earn toy cars today (we have started a rewards program that is helping for the summer), I am pleased to say that all four grandsons earned their cars. The card we are showcasing today is a fun double fold card using the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper, on page 189 of the 2018- 2019 Stampin’ Up catalog.
If you notice the colors on the card all work really well together. This is because Stampin’ Up coordinates ALL of their products! The coordination allows you to be able to create a beautiful card without putting much thought into the colors that go with the Designer Series Paper. This allows for an easy understanding of the color stories that are already recommended by Stampin’ Up.
If you would like to see how this card comes together head on over to my facebook page. We did a facebook live putting together this card. Click below for the card’s tutoiral.
This week has been really busy as my four grandsons have been in Vacation Bible Study. They are really enjoying goofing off with the other children and playing all the fun games. I have been able to help in the nursery, where I spend time looking after my granddaughter. At the end of the week the kids will put on a fun show and I cannot wait to see it.
Today’s a fun and busy day for me because I do a project l every Wednesday at 6:30 Mountain Standard time. This week’s project is a fun Pocket Fold Card that Alex made. This card was a blast to make and I love how you can easily slide in a gift card if you wanted to make this into a birthday card instead of a thank you card.
This fun set uses the Springtime Impressions Thinlits which coordinates with the Garden Impressions designer series paper, which is also used on the card. The NEW Sparkle Glimmer Paper was used on the butterfly, it is absolutely gorgeous, the paper has colored sparkle so that it reflects whatever color you put it against.
To find the video online you can check out my facebook page. We have a lot of fun doing these videos, and Alex and I switched seats to show you this fun card. Be sure to say hi in the comments, we love hearing from you.
It is a beautiful day here in southwest Arizona, not a cloud in the sky. My grandsons love to be outside when it is nice and warm like this. So I have been very busy keeping up with the rambunctious little ones. Lately though they have been going back and forth between inside and outside at lightning speed. I think I will go hoarse from telling them to close the door. I have also been busy cleaning my crafting studio so that I can hold my monthly club meeting. I tend to take up A LOT of room when I craft and as a result leave a trail of paper, embellishments, and stamp sets in my wake. There is nothing like walking into my clean studio, I just love it.
The stamp sets used to make this card were: Stitched All Around and Bouquet Blooms.
One of my new favorite colors from the color revamp is the new subtle color Petal Pink. This is such a fun light coral that is the perfect color for spring and summer. The Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) perfectly coordinates with Petal Pink, along with a variety of colors. Night of Navy which is not a NEW or RETURNING color but was moved from the Regals to the Neutrals also coordinates with this DSP and looks oh so lovely with Petal Pink and the floral designs. The two stamp sets that were used both have coordinating framelits: Stitched Labels Framelits (coordinates with Stitched All Around Stamp Set) and Gatefold Blossoms Framelits Dies (coordinates with Bouquet Blooms Stamp Set).
Stitched All Around Bundle
Bouquet Blooms Bundle
I just love the ribbon that I used to make the card. The Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack which comes with TWO colors of ribbon (Petal Pink and Shaded Spruce, both NEW colors) have a beautiful reflective property that I just love. This ribbon is so versatile and looks beautiful with the Garden Impressions Suite which is were the Designer Series Paper that was used for the card comes from.
Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack
You can purchase all of these bundles at my store which is located here . Tune in on Wednesday’s at 6:30 Mountain Standard Time, where a NEW card idea will be demonstrated. To find the link you can click here.
School is out for the summer and I have all my grandkids during the day. While my grandkids are busy playing outside, I can sit on the patio and put this kit together while watching them. I think these kits are going to come in handy this summer, so I do not have to be cooped up inside while they are playing outside.
I thought that tonight would be a good time to come on Facebook Live and show this fabulous kit from Stampin’ Up. This ALL – INCLUSIVE kit comes with enough product to make twenty cards of four designs. For $35.00 you get a block for your stamps, basic black inkspot, pearls, and copper baker’s twine, a coordinating stamp set, stickers, and shapes that fit the sentiments from the stamp set. The best part is that you get beautifully designed premade cardbases that feature a variety of watercolor designs. A bonus of this kit is that you get a beautiful box that holds everything.
An extra plus of this kit is that there is a refill available for $21.00 which allows you to make twenty more cards. However, the refill kit does not come with a block, ink square, or box because those items were exclusive to the first kit.
Everything you get in the kit.
Four designs you can make with this kit. Instructions are included.
June is fast approaching and there are many events that are happening in the next few weeks with promotions and graduations. Warm weather is on its way and my grandsons are excited to spend the days outside playing in the mud. I am excited for all of the wonderful floral cards that I can make with the Designer Series Paper that Stampin’ Up has come out with.
In this week’s tutorial we will be making a fun fold card.
Watch our Facebook Live to see use make this card with a fun twist. During our facebook live, I used the NEW Designer Series Paper called Garden Impressions. This paper is 6 x 6 and is pretty because of all the fun NEW and Returning colors that are embedded in the images. The stamp set I used is also a NEW set titled Abstract Impressions. With this set you can make abstract roses, flowers, and even a cute little butterfly. This is a great set to have because it is so versatile for summer stamping. The stamp set and designer series paper will be available June 1st visit my store to order.
I want to remind people about the Bogo Sale that I am having with a fellow Stampin’ Up demonstrator. This is not an open house or a catalog launch it is strictly a bogo sale wherein you can get NEW product for FREE when you purchase OLD product.
I love this suite so much. The lettering, sentiments, and the images within the bundles of this suite are so pretty and unique that they provide a unique spin on any card or craft that you are making. It is rare that I like all of the fonts within set as well as the sayings but these unique bundles provide stamps that make special cards.
There are many different cards that you can make with this set, a simple google search will provide many examples to ignite inspiration within you.
Here are some the cards I have made with the bundle, which I hope spark some inspiration in you.
I thought I would pop on today to talk about a Bogo Sale that I and a fellow Southwest Arizona Stampin’ Up demonstrator are having. A bogo sale is when a customer purchases retired products and receives NEW product from the NEW CATALOG to match the amount spent on retired products. As a result you would receive DOUBLE the amount of product.
If you have any questions about the Bogo Sale you can call me at (520) 234-1298 or email me at [email protected]
I thought I would talk with you today about a cute little D.I.Y project that I have seen around the internet. I have seen people make this picture frame or shadow box into little gift boxes and even cards. In today’s version I will be showing you how to make a stand alone shadow box complete with a stand.
This box uses the returning color, Blackberry Bliss and the NEW In-Color Grapefruit Grove. The Designer Series Paper that was used was the specialty Share What You Love Designer Series Paper
If you are interested in making this fun little 3d item you can use the tutorial below.
To make this fun shadow box, I used items from the exclusive Share What You Love Suite. I think that this is one of the best suites that Stampin’ Up has every had. Make sure to pick up one of the bundles that is included in the suite as Stampin’ Up has customized three unique bundles perfect for any crafter.
