Rustic Retreat Christmas Card

Hello Everyone,

October is just beginning and it is the perfect time to start making your Christmas Cards to send out to your family and friends. I love seeing all of the winter and Christmas stamp sets in the Annual and Holiday catalogs. One of my favorites from the Annual catalog is the Rustic Retreat stamp set. The set was inspired by million-dollar earner Mary Polcin.

Rustic Retreat Stamp Set

Rustic Retreat Cling Stamp Set 150285 Price: $24.00 You can step into nature with the Rustic Retreat Stamp Set. This set offers an idyllic setting for creating beautiful moments with its uplifting sentiments and fun forest images, including a friendly bear.  Click on the image to view it in my store.

I love how Stampin’ Up! gives you a background stamp and foreground stamps to make your own little holiday scenes. In addition, I love the fonts that are in this set, it makes it so that it can easily be used for masculine or feminine cards.

You can even add color to the stamps to give your project a clean and professional look.

Today’s Project

In today’s project, I am using the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper. Without a doubt, the greens in the paper make for a great Christmas card.

Christmas Card using Rustic Retreat

It is important to note that I received this card as part of a Holiday Swap between demonstrators and I loved it so much that I decided to case it (Copy And Share Everything). I love how the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper really pops and works well with the Rustic Retreat stamp set.

This is a simple card but there are ways to take it to the next level such as using the blends to color the house or using an embossing folder to add dimension to the project.

Here is a prerecorded Facebook live video to show you how to put this fun project together.

My Granddaughter joined us during our FaceBook Live. She is truly a joy and so excited to stamp.

How to make a Wobble Head Card

Hello Everyone,

It’s Karen! I sure am enjoying the cooler temperatures this week. I love to sit out on my patio and watch the sunrises and sunsets. It has been a strange week for me as I only have one grandchild at home with me it sure is quiter and different around here. It has allowed me to craft more than I have in a long time.  With that being said I have been able to craft and create projects for Halloween. I have found a fun new product called Wobble Springs! These springs allow your projects to bounce around! The card below that I have created has one on it under the cute werewolf.

Spooky Halloween Fun

Hello Everyone,

This time of year is so much fun, I love the changing leaves, colder weather, and holiday fun. Halloween is such a great holiday because I get to see my grandkids all dressed up and trick or treating. Plus Halloween lets us make spooky treats and crafts.

This year Stampin’ Up!  gave us the cutest little treat boxes shaped like coffins. They are the easiest to put together.

Halloween Treats

Coffin Boxes

These coffin boxes are food safe, which makes them perfect to hold little spooky holiday treats. In each package, you will receive 12 boxes and 12 lids.

I love how this treat box uses the embossing paste to create a tone on tone look.

I like to pair these treat boxes with a cute little tag.

Assorted Googly Eyes

Assorted Googly Eyes 150453 Price: $6.00

Each package of googly eyes contains; 100 pieces in 4 colors: Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape,  and white.

The googly eyes bring fun to any project you use them on, and I like to put them on the monster’s eyes.

Project Ideas using the Coffin Boxes

Coffin Box with tag

You can color the monsters using the Stampin’ Blends or watercolor pencils

Coffin Wreath

Another way to use the coffins is to create a Halloween Wreath. If you notice some of the coffin’s lids are embossed and all of them have been distressed using White Craft Ink and Shimmer paint

To make this wreath you will need about 3 packages as 25 boxes made this wreath with some leftover to make treat boxes.

Project and Tutorial

Here is a prerecorded Facebook Live on how we made the treat box and tag.

You can purchase the items of this suite separately or all together.

Card Using the Brightly Gleaming Suite

Card made with the Brightly Gleaming Suite

I love how the copper elements brighten and add shine to the card.

Here is one of the cards that I made using items from the Brightly Gleaming Suite. I used the Copper Foil Sheets to bring out the Copper foiled stars on the Night of Navy.  An interesting idea that you can use using the ribbon from the suite is to use it as the sentiment. As a matter of fact, the ribbon is already copper foiled and says ‘Merry Christmas’ in different fonts so you can use this instead of a sentiment.  In addition, I love how the embossing folder gives the card a ‘hammered’ look, not to mention how pretty this would like in any of Stampin’ Up!’s Foil sheets.
