Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon Will Be Going Away!

IMG_6598

I did this card for a sketch challenge with my Glimmer Gals team. It was a lot of fun! This is the most fun stamp set right now. It is called A Nice Cuppa. The sayings make it very versatile and it is a unique collection of designs! It has matching framelits! Stampin’ Up! thinks of everything!

I love how the colors all coordinate so well! I know I will miss Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss! I have used them so much! Did you see the Pool Party Glitter Ribbon? It is soooo…pretty!

I used FREE Designer Series Paper also! Who doesn’t love FREE! How did I get it you ask? Well it is Sale-A-Bration time! Any time you put in a $50.00 order until March 31st you get to choose a FREE product out of the Sale-A-Bration Catalog! Stampin’ Up! just added new FREE products also!

I want to remind you all that these colors will be retiring in May. So before the retired list comes out in May, you want to make sure you get all your refills and supplies early. I have seen this happen ever year, they sell out fast. What better time then now to stock up because of Sale-A-Bration!

Preparing To Say Good Bye To The 2014-2015 In Colors

June is coming fast! What that means is we will have new In Colors and these will be going away! I have truly loved them! Even though we call Blackberry Bliss, Blackberry Mess, it is truly one of my favorites! Also I will be lost without Lost Lagoon!

So if these are some of your favorite colors or you have ordered them, then don’t forget to go and order refills, or cardstock! you can go to my store and order these now. Once they are gone we won’t be able to replace any of it! I have seen it happen to many times where the colors sell out once the retired list hits! That normally comes out in early May!

I will be featuring some of the cards we have done with these amazing colors in the weeks to come! So watch for those! In Color

Creative Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Creative Blog Hop!

This is the first time I have participated in a blog hop so I am really nervous and have had quite a few problems with my blog getting this to load and work!

I want to thank Sharon Armstrong for inviting me to do this! Blogging is something I will admit I really need to work on. So she has challenged me! Thank you Sharon For pushing me!

The first card I want to showcase is a technique card. I guess you could say I am a technique junkie! I just love adding techniques to the cards I come up with. I am showcasing Shadow Stamping for this technique. Shadow stamping is done normally on a darker cardstock. You first stamp with a whisper white craft ink, dry it and then using the stamp-a-ma-jig stamp in the same color as cardstock which in this case was Early Espresso, move the image a little to the left or right and then stamp again. It leaves such a nice look!

The next card is a card I did for a swap. It is done with the Sheltering Tree set. I love this set! I just can not get enough of it! I also used the wonderful Sale-A-Bration Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP.

Ok it is time for the questions part. Here I go.

What am I working on?

Right now I am prepping for my upcoming classes this month. Also I am working on my customer appreciation event that I will be holing at the end of the month.

How does my work differ from others?

Well I am not sure that it truly does. I do love to send out my newsletters by snail mail instead of using social media. I feel it is more of a personal touch.

Why do you create what you do?

I love what I do! I love being around others and watching the joy in their face when they create a beautiful simple card. It gives us a wouderful time to just let go and realize we each are creative in our own ways!

How does your creative process work?

I love to use sketches! I find a sketch and then chose the stamp set. The colors are next which is one reason I truly love Stampin’ Up! everything coordinates! So there is not much to do after that except stamp and put your card together!

Ok…..the next two people I chose are Shannon Harris and Nendy Kerr Just click on their names to go to their blogs!
