Timeless Tulip Stamping Challenge

Hello Everyone,

The time has come for another stamping head to head challenge. Alex and I love doing these, and this week the bundle we are using is Timeless Tulips.

This set is great for floral stamping, and the sentiments are great to stamp due to the beautiful font. The Tulip builder punch includes the tulip body and a petal punch to give the flower a fuller look to it. I also like to use the petal as a leaf for my steam.

Today’s challenge

For today’s challenge, we pulled a background stamp, aqua painters and classic ink pads, and white bakers twine out of our challenge cups. We were super excited to be able to play around with mixing background stamps with the Timeless Tulips bundle.

Alex loves to watercolor so she was very excited to be able to play with the aqua painters. She watercolored the background layer with Saraha Sand so that the Birch cling popped. She was also able to watercolor the tulips, stems, and leaves with colors (e.g pool party and Daffodile Delight)to highlight the lighter areas.

My Card

I am so pleased with how this card turned out. I am going to give this to my Mom on Mother’s Day this year. I did a wash on my shimmer white cardstock using Highland Heather before stamping my images in Gorgeous Grape. The wash helped to give the tulips a watercolor look.
