Hello Everyone,
Here it is the end of August. I remember when I was a little girl my mom would always say how fast time goes but I never believed it. You know to a kid time drags on. Well now it is flying by! With September coming it is the start of the new Fall/Winter catalog. I can not tell you how excited I am for it!
You will be able to start ordering from the new Fall/Winter on Wednesday September 5th. Mark your calendars! Also next Wednesday night I will be doing a catalog walk through on my Facebook live! If you do not have your catalog yet please let me know so I can get one to you!
Tips for Easy Card Making
Feeling uninspired but have to make a card? There are tons of sketches online that you can peruse to get inspiration. Here are a few examples of what sketches are;
These sketches are ideas that you can use to create cards. The layers are predetermined and you can fill them in with Designer Series Paper or different colored cardstock. Where the butterfly is you can add a bow, thinlit die cut, or embellishment.
Sketches are great examples of quick and easy card layouts. You can use them to help you feel inspired.
Tips
- If you are making a lot of cards; cut out your pieces in advance so you can form an assembly line.
- Not sure about colors? Before you cut your cardstock gather all of the colors you want to use. Lay them side by side to make sure they are cohesive with your design.
- Use ribbon as a one of the layers as detailed on the sketches above.
Weekly Project
For this week’s project I wanted to show how to make an easy card following a sketch challenge. One of my team members found this sketch. As a monthly challenge my team makes cards based on the sketch. I was also part of a swap between demonstrators and used it for my inspiration.
As you can see you can make a wide variety of cards even with the same sketch idea.
Here is a prerecorded Facebook video on my Weekly Project.
