October is just beginning and it is the perfect time to start making your Christmas Cards to send out to your family and friends. I love seeing all of the winter and Christmas stamp sets in the Annual and Holiday catalogs. One of my favorites from the Annual catalog is the Rustic Retreat stamp set. The set was inspired by million-dollar earner Mary Polcin.

I love how Stampin’ Up! gives you a background stamp and foreground stamps to make your own little holiday scenes. In addition, I love the fonts that are in this set, it makes it so that it can easily be used for masculine or feminine cards.
You can even add color to the stamps to give your project a clean and professional look.
Today’s Project
In today’s project, I am using the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper. Without a doubt, the greens in the paper make for a great Christmas card.

It is important to note that I received this card as part of a Holiday Swap between demonstrators and I loved it so much that I decided to case it (Copy And Share Everything). I love how the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper really pops and works well with the Rustic Retreat stamp set.
This is a simple card but there are ways to take it to the next level such as using the blends to color the house or using an embossing folder to add dimension to the project.
