Friday’s Creative Challenge Featuring High Tide

Hello Everyone,

It’s Friday so you know what that means. It is our Creative Head to Head Challenge! These are so much fun and the outcome is always so different! So if you are new here let me explain the challenge. We draw from a series of items for embellishments, paper, Designer Series Paper, and coloring. Out of the items, we draw we then create a card using the items.
For today’s challenge, we are using the stamp set ‘High Tide’.

High Tide is a two-step stamp set that makes it is easy to create the final image that you want using the colors of your choice.  Photopolymer stamps are totally transparent making it easy for you to align with the two-step stamping. Colors that I used

Measurements
  • Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Designer Series Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Layer Two: 3 3/4″ x 5″ in Balmy Blue
  • Layer Three: 1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
  • Scrap piece of Crumb Cake to stamp on measuring at least 5″ across
  • Scrap Whisper White
So using the sand image I first stamped in versamark then in Crumb Cake Ink, I then stamped it onto Crumb Cake cardstock before covering it in clear embossing powder. I heat set it and then tore the paper above the heat embossed image. This helps to give the cardstock a sandy appearance.
These challenges are so much fun. Here is a pre-recorded Facebook Live video that shows how to put these cards together.

For the Designer Series Paper we both used the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper that is retiring.
