Hello Everyone,
I had such a fun time with my son and his family in Oklahoma! We stayed in and enjoyed each other’s company. We baked chocolate chip cookies, played card games, and ran around their ranch. Savannah had an absolute blast on the trip and she did so well on the plane. She loved having the window seat on the plane and was so excited to look out and see the clouds and the scenery as we flew by. My daughter-in-law has several horses and Savannah was able to ride them in the mornings much to her delight. My husband and I had a great time playing with our grandchildren, I taught my oldest grandson slapjack. The boys also got in plenty of fishing on their ponds while we were there. When it came time to leave, it was hard to say goodbye but we are looking forward to our next trip!
I love Halloween, it is one of my favorite holidays! Halloween is a great time of year to craft for because you get to make spooky and cute crafts. This year Stampin’ Up! really outdid themselves with their Halloween stamp sets and dies. The project today features three stamp sets although not all of them are strictly for Halloween.
Flight of Fancy and Festive Corners are great stamp sets to stamp with year round! Hallows Night Magic is great to include in your crafting stash for when you need a spooky sentiment.
Gift Card Holder
Gift card holders are a great way to personalize and embellish for a quick and thoughtful gift. There a so many ways that you can personalize gift cards. In today’s video tutorial we made a Halloween gift card holder that is perfect the spooky season.
Measurements
- Card base: 5 1/2″ x 12
- scored at 4 1/4″, 6″, and 7 3/4″
- Black Glimmer Paper Layer One: 3 1/4″x 4 1/4″
- Black Berry Bliss Layer Two: 3 ” x 4″
- Whisper White Layer Three: 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
- Layer: 5 1/4″ x 4″
To make the section that holds the gift card, accordion fold the score lines and adhere. This will form a ‘W’. Use the Classic Label Punch to punch a space in the middle section for the gift card to sit.
Here is a pre-recorded Facebook Live Tutorial on how to make a gift card holder card.

I used the Gathered Together bundle to create this autumn gift card. I also used the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper with the Brushed Metallic Cardstock.

When you are using the Designer Series Paper you get to see both sides of the paper. It is a really great way to make cards if you cannot choice between two patterns.
Using ribbon is a great way to create a focal point on your card. I used generational stamping on this card to add texture, it really helps to pull the background element of the card together.

This is the card we made on the live tutorial. The flight of fancy stamp set is a great stamp set to color.
Halloween is a great time to host get togethers and gift cards a great fit to give your host.
