Make an Easy Beach Background With Me

One of the things that I wanted to play with while Karen was away was a gradiet beach look. I love how there are diffent tones of blues in the ocean when looking from the beach. Plus I think that look/idea is captured using this format.

There are so many different looks you can get when using the blending brushes. If you stoke downward you create the linear features like the ones on the cards above. However, if you use circular motions you can create a softer blend.

To create this card I marked off the sides using post-it notes to create a space where the colors would go. Next I choose my colors which included almost all of the blues that Karen has and one brown color. I tore a post – it note in along the sticky side making sure to leave some sticky on so that when I blended it would remain on the card. I used downward strokes on all of the blue colors and upward strokes with the brown in order to create the white space in between all of the colors.
